Naomi Geyer, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Naomi Geyer (nfgeyer@wisc.edu) is Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her Ed. D. from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests include Japanese pragmatics, interlanguage pragmatics, and language pedagogy. She is the author of Discourse and Politeness: Ambivalent Face in Japanese (Continuum, 2008), and she has also published articles in journals such as Journal of Pragmatics, Language Learning, and Foreign language Annals.
