Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format. The page size is set to US Letter (8.5 x 11 inches), not A4.
  • Where available, URLs for the references and the date of access have been provided.
  • The text is double-spaced throughout, including block quotes, endnotes, and bibliography/references; uses a 12-point font (e.g., Time New Roman); employs italics, rather than underlining.
  • All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end or in separate files. Endnotes will be used rather than footnotes. Endnote marks are placed at the end of a sentence, rather than at some other place in the sentence.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • The text is free of author-identifying information. The authors of the document have deleted their names from the text with "Author" and year used in the references and footnotes, instead of the authors' name, article title, etc.
